Genesis Software completes commissioning of the Chumphon VHF Ionospheric Radar January 2020 in Thailand.
This innovative installation is an 18 element transceiver array in a row (combined to single receiver) tilted 8.5 degrees from vertical for the local magnetic declination.
Genesis Software supplied the transceivers, receivers, data acquisition and antenna systems as well as all of the RF cabling. We installed the antennas on site and configured and calibrated the system on site.
The transceiver based system allows for phased array operation with arbitrary phasing of each antenna (0 to 360 degrees, <1 degree resolution) to perform pulse to pulse beam steering.
